HALLMARKS LEADERSHIP
DEVELOPMENT SERIES

A Message from Dr. John Ellis
IAPSS Executive Director

Now that a broad base of superintendents and central office leaders have taken the Hallmarks
of Excellence
® in Educational Leadership
assessment, received an interpretation of
results, and had an opportunity to work through
their individual results workbooks,
IAPSS is
launching a multi-year professional development series using the information
gained to supplement and support leadership
growth activities throughout our Association.

In cooperation with CHORUS®, the developers of Hallmarks®, IAPSS has created a special
leadership development series. This plan
includes group coaching sessions during the
association’s primary activities to provide
insights into key areas as identified from the
assessment results as well as specially designed
webinars complete with interactive
question
and answer sessions. Supplementing these larger plenary experiences will be focused
articles and audio and video conferencing
training experiences. Individual district teams
will be able to work with Hallmarks certified
coaches through optional programming to
focus on core gap developmental areas,
allowing them to leverage the Hallmarks
beyond the individual and assist them in their
efforts to generate high performance
teams.

The strength of any program is what happens after the majority of eligible participants
have
completed the first phases. The ability to launch this kind of partnership is key to future
success in making the Hallmarks opportunity a
part of our ongoing professional development
for our association. In addition to
CHORUS,
we appreciate the generous support of
Gibraltar Design, Ice Miller and City
Securities who are making this experience possible.
